Historical model from the catalog AdidasThe Forum Low was born in 1984. Designed for basketball, it quickly became the most innovative pair of shoes of its time.
After the floors, the Forum Low has managed to make a place for itself in the street. Since its creation, it has regularly been the fruit of collaboration as with Jeremy Scott or Prada, like the collection Adidas Gucci. It was in 2021 that it was put back on the front of the scene until it reached the top of the trends in 2023 thanks to its retro look very fashionable.
In 1983, French designer Jacques Chassaing created the Forum silhouette, which became one of Adidas' most sneakers one of Adidas' most emblematic shoes. At first, the Forum was designed for basketball. It is in fact on the basketball courts that it will know its first successes, notably at the feet of a certain Michael Jordan just before his signature with Nike.
Jacques Chassaing worked with coaches and players for several months to find out how to offer a pair that would suit an entire team, taking into account the physical differences and roles of the different players. This is how the ankle reinforcement strap was added, similar to the bandages used in sports medicine.
The Forum Low lends itself to many collaborations. It can be found in the category sneakers woman as well as sneakers men's. The vintage accents of this model offer infinite possibilities of outfits. It can be worn with a tracksuit for a more casual look, with oversized jeans or with skirts and dresses for a preppy style.
The Forum is the first basketball silhouette from Adidas that comes in three versions: high, mid and low. The major difference between the mid and low versions of the Forum is the height at which the shoe rises. While on the low, the silhouette stops at the ankle, it goes up a little higher on the mid version.
