Rapper, producer, designer, fashion and art lover, Kanye West is what we can call a complete artist. Always wanting to create products under his own name, he began his rise by collaborating with more or less success with several streetwear brands: Bape or Nike for example. Avant-garde to the end, he also associated with Louis Vuitton on a series of sneakers. We note that Virgil AblohThe current artistic director of the Parisian fashion house is none other than the former right-hand man of the American rapper. Dissatisfied and frustrated by these various collaborations, it is in 2015 that he crosses the path of the sports equipment manufacturer Adidas, ready to offer him not a simple collaboration but the creation of a common entity in the manner of Nike and Jordan. From this meeting was born the brand Yeezybrand, now a must in the streetwear and sneaker world.
This in-depth collaboration first brings the silhouette of the Yeezy 750. With a strong resemblance to the Nike Air Yeezy II, sneakers from the previous partnership with Nike, the extremely limited edition model created a buzz and quickly unleashed the crowds. Building on this initial success, Ye, as the rapper likes to be called, went on to unveil the most popular model of his entire footwear design career, the Yeezy Boost 350.
With its futuristic and aerodynamic design, the pair quickly became the must-have silhouette of recent years. It greatly contributed to the popularisation and democratisation of the sneakers limited edition system that we know today, with hand-picked re-cutters and a draw system to win the right to buy one's own version of the model.
Adidas and Kanye West have relied heavily on silhouettes such as the very futuristic Yeezy Boost 380but also on shoes with a dad shoe look like the Yeezy 500and the Yeezy 700. More recently, however, the duo's attention seems to be focused on slip-on models, such as the popular Yeezy Slide or the Yeezy Foam RNNR !
In the wake of this, in 2016, Kanye West unveiled a second edition. Updated and modernised, the silhouette retains the same overall lines as its previous version. Soberly named Yeezy Boost 350 V2, the architecture of the pair is slightly re-imagined, wider, with more curves, more generous in short. This sneaker takes things to the next level and the pair is the most popular limited edition model ever released. The design is just as cutting-edge as the previous version, and features a Primeknit sockliner base with an Adidas Boost technology outsole. Since its release, the Yeezy 350 V2 has been released in a variety of colourways: Zebra, Beluga, Bred, Triple White...
Considered a visionary by his peers, Kanye West is now one of the most influential designers in the world. Each new release is an event! A new benchmark for fashion and sneakers fans, already a classic despite its recent release, you won't be able to miss the Yeezy 350 V2 silhouette , already widely adopted by an ever-growing audience.
As for the Yeezy 350, we advise you to take a half size above your usual size on each model. For example, if you are a size 40, we recommend a size 40 2/3! The front of the foot can often be slightly compressed by the Primeknit, so we recommend a half size up. This allows you to enjoy the comfort and "slipperiness" that is so popular with Primeknit fans.Yeezy !
